Wouter de Heij joins board of GMV

Wouter de Heij, CEO of TOP bv, joins the board of GMV, the representative organization for machine builders in the food industry. An important step for both TOP and GMV.

In the board of GMV De Heij will fulfill the role of section chairman of the sector Dairy & Liquid. De Heij has ample knowledge and experience in the field of innovation, which he will use to stimulate reforms. These reforms are necessary in (amongst others) the sector Dairy & Liquid, to enhance and expand the position of Dutch machine builders in the world.

GMV is happy with the arrival of De Heij. “Openness, cooperation, reform and innovation are key words in which we recognize Wouter. He will support the ambitions of GMV to promote innovation and stimulate cooperation,” says GMV.

The joining of De Heij of the board of GMV fits within the ambitions of the representative organization. “GMV aims to unite the machine builders and to stimulate international trade for large as well as small members. Innovation company TOP bv shares this ambition and herein aligns with the efforts of GMV”, says Wouter de Heij.

GMV represents the Dutch machine builders in the food processing industry. The association has over 70 members, both small and large, active in different sectors: bakery, bio based, dairy & liquid, general foods, meet & feed, packaging and storage & handling. Together these members represent about 70 percent of the food processing industry in The Netherlands, with an estimated annual turnover of 2.5 billion Euro.
