Natural preservatives, from feasible idea to safe product
In cooperation with partners Ojah, Johma and Bachos, TOP bv will be working on the application of natural preservatives. In this multi-annual project work will be carried out on development, production and application of natural preservative concepts for chilled foods.
Together with the partners, TOP will carry out research into the quality and availability of natural preservatives from agro (waste) flows. Subsequently natural preservatives will be developed and selected for use in relevant food products of the partners. Combinations of natural preservatives and mild conservation treatments will be analysed as well. Finally pilot tests will be performed with new recipes of the various products, with the aim of making the products marketable.
