What is it?
Pascal Processing is a certified tolling centre for High Pressure Processing (HPP) / Pascalisation. In this facility, the shelf life of packaged food products like smoothies, sauces, meat and fish, and ready-to-eat meals can be increased significantly. The quality of the products is much better preserved than that of heat-treated products.
TOP was the first company that brought Pascalisation to North-western Europe. By showing the industry the new range of possibilities of High Pressure Processing, it laid the groundwork on which Pascal Processing is build. TOP assisted in the full design of the production location and TOP’s food technologists still perform R&D and NPD for clients of Pascal Processing. Since HPP is now well integrated in the food industry, TOP is focussing on the next step of high pressure processing: Pressure Assisted Thermal Sterilization.
